"This place was great!! The food was delicious my family couldn't stop fighting over the last bites and we ended up ordering even more. They are definitely famous for their shrimp. The fried ones were so delicious along with everything else. The family running it was also so welcoming and sweet! Highly recommend. We look forward to coming back to try more."

"I saw a post on Instagram about Bosslady's and when I saw that they were participating in Kansas City restaurant week this year I figured I'd stop by. I had a cup of gumbo for my first course, the salt and pepper shrimp for my main entree and a slice of lemon cake for dessert. Everything was super flavorful with a nice texture. All the food was fresh and hot from the kitchen and the service was great. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because they were out of some of the food they were advertising on their restaurant week menu. I was really looking forward to the lobster bisque."

"Amazing service and good food. I picked up some takeout for the wife, and the food was absolutely delicious. It's not pictured because it was eaten so quickly. It was garlic shrimp and rice. I spoke with Jeremy for a while while waiting on my food, and the service was excellent. They seem like great people. Highly recommend checking them out and supporting a small local business."

Restaurant week review: RW rules narrow the menu, and usually over clocks the floor staff anywhere you go that participates. Be patient and have Grace. Clock your overexpectations and ego. This isn't the Plaza or PnL (although it would be the best food there), but it is better seafood, better prices, local family, freshly prepared, not off a chain truck like Sysco or others. The FOOD is still sooooo delicious and we discovered a new favorite! The garlic butter shrimp is to die for! The shrimp flavor is enhanced, not overwhelmed, by the garlic butter. Every bite of every food we've had in the last year has been PERFECT. That's very rare. And I'm SUPER picky about my shrimp, among other things. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your evening. Kids food available too. I LOVED the atmosphere, booths and tables. We were very comfortable and welcomed. We had the honor of visiting with the owner and her daughter. J was a great waitress!
